Hokianga

Wooden bowl turned from Kauri timber. There are many Artisits and Craftspeople living and working around the Hokinanga.

Wooden bowl turned from the beautiful timber of the Kauri tree.

The artists and craftspeople around the Hokianga produce a great variety of art and craft works, making use of many natural resources available.

They have joined together to form an art trail - the Hokianga Hart Trail - which stretches from the Waipoua Forest to Rawene, across the Harbour and then northwards.

They invite you to visit their shops or workshops (by appointment) to see what they have created.Isolation certainly doen't stifle creativity.
