About Louisa the artist:
My first impression of art was a colourful painting
of a wild duck by my Grandmother who was a painter and
calligrapher. My childhood was spent on a sheep station
in the Western District of Victoria, Australia, where
I experienced the rhythm of nature and the land with
the changing of the seasons.
My love of indigenous cultures and pristine environments
has led me to many exotic destinations and finally the
Hokianga . I was introduced to painting in 1990 and
have been exhibiting my work ever since.
