Spectacular sunset across the Hokianga Harbour. A lot of the harbour runs South to North, so reidents can wathc the sun set on the opposite side of the Harbour, and are rewarded with truly spectacular colour displays

Over much of its length the Harbour lies South to North, and residents are regularly treated to the most spectacular displays of colour when the sun goes down.

 

It is small wonder then that, surrounded by native bush and the sounds of birdsong, gurgling streams, splashing waterfalls, the crash of the ocean on the beach, and the rhythms of the tides in the Harbour , and the glory of natural colours in the water and the sky, our local artists and craftspeople are so inspired
