The Exchange offers guests the opportunity for a secluded getaway, just off the usual tourist trail. You will be able to relax to the sound of the Tui’s or walk through the mature forest to see the Kauri and Puriri trees.

Approximately 6km outside the village of Kohukohu, The Exchange offers the ideal starting point for exploring the Northlands of New Zealand and all it has to offer, including the Bay of Islands, 90 mile Beach and the magnificent sand dune entrance to the Hokianga Harbour at Omapere.  The village of Kohukohu is an historic village right on the Harbour front with a Café, General Store, Art Galleries, Craft Shop and Pub.  A relaxing escape for short or long breaks any time of year.

The Service

Both cottages are fully serviced and cleaned twice weekly, with changes of linen and towels, all at your convenience.

Accommodation: Bush Cottage

This eco friendly studio style accommodation comprises double bedroom/living room with well-equipped kitchenette, ensuite composting toilet and shower room, and benefits from a secluded decked area and cosy wood burning fire for the cooler evenings.

The Gatehouse

Comprising two single sleeping areas set above the main living area on a mezzanine floor, with downstairs double bed, toilet and shower.  Accommodation also includes a well-equipped kitchenette.

$90 to $160 per night with discounted rates for increased length of stay and higher occupancy.
