Note: At the moment the only ATM in the Hokianga is in the Service Station at Omapere, accessible from 7 am to 7 pm when the Station is open. We suggest that you bring some cash with you.
The Vehicle Ferry, Kohu Ra Tuarua', operates a regular
service across the Harbour from Rawene to The Narrows,
about 3 Km from Kohukohu.
Tickets can be purchase on board.
There are no EFTPOS facilities on the ferry.

Doctors and medical services throughout the Hokianga
are based at the hospital at Rawene, but there are clinics
in most of the bigger towns around the Hokianga.
For doctors, hospital appointments, or appointments
at any of the clinics, telephone

There is also a medical Centre in Kaikohe, the Broadway
Health Centre, telephone

In New Zealand prescription medicines are dispensed
by Chemists at a Pharmacy. You will have to pay for
some prescriptions. The Pharmacy also sells healthcare
products, personal medical requirements and first aid
supplies.
